Q: What is the Arizona Film And Media Expo?

A: . The Arizona Film And Media Expo (AZFAME for short) is an annual event showcasing and benefiting the film and media industry in Arizona.

Q: What happens at the EXPO?

A: . The EXPO will have an large exhibitors hall  featuring a wide variety of businesses and services directly related to film and media. There will be Celebrities, Agents, Film Makers and Film Companies, Modeling agencies, Make-up Artists, Film and Acting Schools, Comic Book Artists, Photographers and much, much more. The EXPO will also feature numerous seminars running  both days. Just some of the seminar subjects include how to have a successful acting and modeling career, tips and strategies on independent film making, cinematography, stunt work and action choreography for actors and directors etc.

Q: What is the purpose of the EXPO?

A: . The Arizona Film And Media Expo was created to help bring Arizona’s film community together. It is designed as a yearly event to help people in the industry connect and come together for the sole purpose of improving our industry and showing that Arizona has  vibrant and viable film community.

Q: Who Should attend the EXPO?

A: . Anyone who loves the film and media industry! Actors, models, directors, producers, agents, film makers, comedians, screenwriters, cinematographers, film crew, make-up artists, composers – essentially anyone who has a career or skill in film and media or those who are seeking to get into the industry should be there. This is an incredible opportunity to get out and meet people in the industry, make connections or promote your film, product or service!

Q: Is there a fee to attend?

A: Yes. There is a nominal entrance fee depending on what you plan on doing at the expo.

Q: Do I have to pay for the seminars?

A: Most seminars are free throughout both days. However there is a charge for special headliner seminars. This is done because these seminars are hugely popular and space is limited.  These seminars require a separate registration, but they are definitely well worth it!

Q: What will the seminars be about?

A: All seminars are taught by professionals in the industry and will cover a wide variety of topics related to film making, acting, modeling and screenwriting.

Q: Is  the AZFAME event beneficial for children to attend?

A:  Yes. Children/teenagers have ample opportunities to connect and meet significant people in the Entertainment Industry.

Q: Are you allowed to leave the Expo during the day?

A: Yes. You to come and go from the Expo as you like – but you must have your registration card to return.

Q: What materials should I bring to the Expo?

A: The expo is an excellent opportunity to mingle, network and promote yourself or your business. It is recommended to bring anything that will promote yourself in the business such as: business cards, resumes, headshots, contact information, portfolios, etc.

Q: Who is behind the EXPO and who supports it?

A: . AZFAME was created and financed by Richard Ryan, Dana Skvarek II and David Grosse and is owned and operated by Depleting Shadows Entertainment. It is supported by the Arizona Film & Media  Coalition and numerous film makers, organizations and individuals in the community.
